Access and permissions
Doublewire controls access in layers. Your workspace membership identifies the workspace, permissions control the actions you can perform, and resource access can restrict which customer-facing channels or assistants you can see.
View access and edit access
Section titled “View access and edit access”Having view access means you can open a list and inspect available details. It does not automatically allow you to create, change, delete, or export data. Those actions can have separate permissions.
Read-only pages keep the information visible but disable editing controls. Actions that change data are also checked when submitted, not only hidden in the page.
Resource-restricted access
Section titled “Resource-restricted access”Some members can be limited to selected resources. They see only the customer conversations, contacts, and related information that those resources allow. Counts, filters, and exports follow the same restriction.
Guests have additional restrictions and cannot use private member Chat or workspace-wide administration areas.
When you see an access message
Section titled “When you see an access message”The page you selected exists, but your current workspace access does not allow you to open it. Contact a workspace owner or admin and name the section shown in the message.
Changing permissions does not move or duplicate data. It changes what becomes visible and which actions are allowed for that member.
