Review the Audit Log
The Audit Log is a read-only history of important actions in your workspace. Use it to answer what changed, who performed the action, and when it happened.
You only see the Audit Log if your access includes View Audit Log. Because it is a workspace-wide history, it is not available to Guests or to members whose access is limited to selected resources.
Read an event
Section titled “Read an event”Each event can show:
- the action, such as created, updated, deleted, invited, or exported;
- the type of item affected;
- the name of the item, when available;
- the workspace member who performed the action;
- the date and time in your profile timezone;
- a details control when more information is available.
Actions completed automatically by Doublewire are identified as system activity.
Inspect what changed
Section titled “Inspect what changed”Open an event that has details to review its recorded information. For an update, this can include before and after values. For other actions, it can include useful context such as the affected resource or selected option.
Sensitive values such as passwords, access tokens, and secret keys are not shown in the Audit Log.
Filter the history
Section titled “Filter the history”Open Filters to narrow the list by:
- Period: all time, 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days;
- Action: only action types that exist in the current workspace history;
- Entity Type: the kind of item affected.
Select Apply to update the list. Use Clear to remove all active filters. Your saved list preferences can be remembered when that preference is enabled in your profile.
Sort and browse
Section titled “Sort and browse”Use Date to switch between newest-first and oldest-first order. The event count reflects the current filters, and longer histories are split into pages.
Read-only history
Section titled “Read-only history”Audit events cannot be edited or removed from this page. Deleting the resource described by an event does not turn the event into an editable record. It remains historical evidence of an action that occurred.
