Create and tune a Knowledge Base

A Knowledge Base turns uploaded documents into searchable information that linked assistants can use when answering.

Create one

1. Select New Knowledge Base.
2. Enter a name and optional description.
3. Set chunk size, chunk overlap, and score threshold.
4. Save.

• Chunk Size controls how much text is stored together. Smaller chunks can be more precise; larger chunks preserve more surrounding context.
• Chunk Overlap repeats some text between neighboring chunks to preserve context across a boundary.
• Score Threshold controls the minimum relevance required for a retrieved result.

Changing chunk size or overlap applies to future processing. Re-upload a document when existing content must use the new split settings.

Read the list

The list shows the Knowledge Bases available to you and supports the standard list navigation and actions. Open one to manage its documents and review which assistants currently link to it.
