Attach the form to an assistant
Section titled “Attach the form to an assistant”Open the assistant, find Forms, search for the form, and attach it. The form is not visitor-facing until an assistant is configured to offer it.
Choose trigger modes
Section titled “Choose trigger modes”- Tool trigger lets the assistant decide when the form is relevant. Write a clear description of the situation.
- Manual button adds a visitor action with your label and position.
- Auto-trigger opens the form on a URL pattern, after a time delay, or at a scroll depth. A rule fires at most once in the page session.
These modes are independent and can be combined.
Route submissions
Section titled “Route submissions”In Integration Routing, select the active destinations that should receive real widget submissions. Leave every destination clear when Doublewire alone should store them.
Structured integrations require explicit field mapping. Select Configure and map each destination field to submitted form data. If a mapped form field changes or is deleted, update the mapping before saving.
Send preview submissions to integrations is off by default. Enable it only when test data should reach the external destination.
Review a submission
Section titled “Review a submission”Open its conversation in Inbox. The submission appears in chronological order and can show the form name, preview marker, delivery state, and submitted values. It participates in personal unread state like other visible timeline activity.
A slow or failed integration does not remove a successful visitor submission. Review its delivery state in the conversation.
