Configure WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger

WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger channels receive supported inbound messages through Meta webhooks and send replies through the matching Meta API.

  1. Create the channel in Doublewire.
  2. Copy its webhook URL into the matching Meta app.
  3. Enter the account identifier shown by the provider, such as a Phone Number ID, Instagram Account ID, or Page ID.
  4. Enter the verify token, app secret, and access token requested by the form.
  5. Save and complete Meta’s webhook verification.
  6. Use Test connection where available.

Keep secret fields private. When editing, leave an existing secret blank if the form says that doing so preserves it.

Assign an assistant for automatic replies. Choose None to keep inbound messages in Inbox for manual handling without creating assistant reply work. You can connect an assistant later.

A human reply from Inbox places an automated conversation under human control until a permitted member selects Resume. Supported replies made directly in a native provider app can also appear as human messages when that provider sends the required event.

Only supported message events and content types enter the normal conversation history. Delivery and provider errors remain visible through status or failure indicators without showing your saved credentials.
