Search, pin, and control unread state
Search conversations and messages
Section titled “Search conversations and messages”Use the search field above the conversation list to find conversations and matching messages. Results appear below the field, with the result count inside it. Select a message result to open and highlight that message.
Selecting elsewhere hides the result list. Select the field again to show the same results, or use the circular clear button to reset the search.
Use the search button in a conversation header to open or close search within that conversation. The button remains active while the search panel is open.
Pin a message
Section titled “Pin a message”Open a message’s actions and select the pin action. The pinned-message strip appears above the timeline for all participants. Select it to jump to the start of the pinned message. Use its circular close action, or pin action on the message, to unpin it.
Deleting a pinned message also removes the pin.
Mark a conversation unread
Section titled “Mark a conversation unread”Use Mark unread in the conversation menu to move your personal unread marker. It does not change another participant’s view, remove read receipts, or recreate a mention or reaction alert that was already acknowledged.
