Invite and manage members
Invite a person
Section titled “Invite a person”- Open Members.
- Select Invite.
- Enter the person’s email address.
- Choose Team or Guest.
- If available, choose the access level.
- Review Permissions and Resource access.
- Select Send Invite.
If the email already belongs to a Doublewire account, the person is added to the workspace immediately. Otherwise, Doublewire creates a pending invitation for that address.
Configure a pending invitation
Section titled “Configure a pending invitation”Open the actions menu beside a pending invitation and select Access. The same permission and resource controls used for an existing member are available before the invitation is accepted.
You can also cancel a pending invitation from its actions menu. Expired invitations are removed automatically from the list.
Change a member’s access
Section titled “Change a member’s access”The workspace Owner can open Access beside an eligible member and change:
- Team or Guest access type;
- Admin or Custom access level, when allowed;
- individual permissions;
- resource restrictions.
Select Save to apply the complete access configuration. The member’s open sessions receive the updated access without needing a new invitation.
Changing someone to Admin removes custom resource restrictions because Admin access covers the whole workspace. Changing someone to Guest applies the Guest safety limits even if a previously selected permission is not allowed for Guests.
Remove a member
Section titled “Remove a member”Open the member’s actions menu and select Remove. Confirm the action to remove that person’s membership from the current workspace.
Removing a member does not delete the person’s Doublewire account or their membership in other workspaces. It removes only their access to this workspace.
Private Chat history follows the conversation rules. A removed participant can no longer access the workspace or continue using its conversations.
