Choose notification preferences
Notification preferences decide which events Doublewire sends to you through each available delivery channel.
Notification types
Section titled “Notification types”Profile can offer controls for:
- new Inbox threads;
- Chat messages;
- Chat mentions;
- Chat reactions;
- calendar reminders;
- scheduled website crawls;
- AI answer quota alerts.
Not every notification type supports every channel. An unavailable combination is shown with a dash.
Choose a delivery mode
Section titled “Choose a delivery mode”For most combinations, choose Enabled or Disabled. Scheduled crawl notifications also support All results and Failures only.
For Chat push notifications, choose:
- Show preview text to include message content in the notification;
- Notification only to hide the message preview;
- Disabled.
Changes apply to new notifications. An alert that was already on its way may still arrive.
Enable push on this browser
Section titled “Enable push on this browser”The separate Push notifications panel controls the browser or device you are currently using. Push delivery requires both:
- the relevant Push preference to be enabled; and
- push permission and subscription to be enabled on this browser.
Select Enable and approve the browser prompt. Once enabled, use Send test to confirm that this device can receive a notification. Select Disable to unsubscribe only this browser.
Understand multiple devices
Section titled “Understand multiple devices”Push is managed per browser installation. Enabling it on your phone does not automatically enable it on your desktop browser, and disabling one device does not disable your other subscribed devices.
Your notification preference matrix belongs to your account and applies across devices. The browser-specific panel only controls whether this browser is registered to receive push.
If a test does not arrive
Section titled “If a test does not arrive”Check that:
- the browser reports push as enabled;
- operating-system notifications are allowed for the browser or installed app;
- Focus, Do Not Disturb, or battery restrictions are not delaying alerts;
- the browser is still installed with the same site data.
If the subscription is no longer valid, disable and enable push again on that device.
